What the hell was that guy talking about?

This has nothing to do with anyone's grandmother or an old man in a locket. That guy is crazy. Anyway, this is a good and different album. It reminds me of Devendra Banhart a little bit. Any fans of him, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown, and or Loretta Lynn will appreciate this album. The most accessible tracks for me were The electric love letter, I love to dance, and Checking Out.

See him LIVE if you can...!

I wasn't completely sold on Langhorne Slim's music until I saw him perform live. His voice is strong, his energy unlimited! He has an incredible talent for entertaining, and he can relate to and read his audience better than possibly any other performer I've seen. Wow!

There is something special and new and familiar here not unlike the photograph you found in your grandmother's locket. Who is that man, and is he related to you? There is love in these songs just like the love in that mysterious man's eyes. Your grandmother would be proud of this album. You can see it in her movements.
