No two songs are alike - a real cohesion

No two songs are alike but there's a real cohesion there. Sonically I hear a cool BBQ of Captain Beefheart, Little Feat, Al Green and maybe a bit of early period Steely Dan. Love "Charlie Deal" which details the saga of the toilet-seat guitar welded to a mighty Chuck Berry groove. The songs (two of which were reprised for The Moonlighters) have a real feel for R&B and Soul idioms.

The Reptile Brothers may have recorded in the 70's but it retains such a freshness it could have all been cut last week!!
