How this album has not competely blown up in the US is beyond me. I just started workin at a pub where this cd is played during the mellow hours and EVERYONE wants to know what it is. Gotta check this one out.

Can't stop listening

After hearing a few Paddy Casey songs on a trip to Ireland last year, I downloaded this album as soon as I got home. Since then, I've listened to this album at least once a week. Paddy's melodies and guitar playing are excellent, and he sings with a great deal of passion. "Amen (so be it)" is a perfect album for just sitting back and chilling out.

Haunting Beauty

In this review I am not really rating the album, I just bought it so I haven't listened to it yet. But about a month ago I went to a concert, I didn't know the two openers, but one of them ended up being Paddy Casey. His performance was...hypnotic, in a word. His energy was amazing, his lyrics and his commitment. When he talked about some of his songs, why they were written, you could tell he really meant it. A few of his songs were about depression, his own and others, and he sang them with a passion that is often times lacking.

So the point of this review is this: when you buy Paddy Casey's album, I stand as a true witness that he is very real. He is something we should strive for.
