Editors’ Notes Legendary composer John Williams' orchestral score to Jurassic Park is an exercise in contrasting stealth with bombast. "Incident at Isla Nublar" opens with taut and wavering strings, undercut by timpani signaling the threat of approaching danger, while the song's frantic midsection ups the adrenaline levels as if fleeing from a pack of Velociraptors. As a climax, "T-Rex Rescue & Finale" is positively gargantuan, with stabbing brass-and-string attacks hitting home like earthshaking dinosaur footsteps.
