I'm Boppin'

A pleasure from start to finish, the Ditty duo's harmonies are put to good use on songs that bring guitar and banjos to the party that includes tunes as old as "Sister Kate" (still shimmying 90 years on) and as new as yesterday. "Pale Yellow" and "Short Stacks" stand out as entertaining fun, but their range goes much further. Absolutely no cliches, no wanna-be stylings, The Ditty Bops are an original delight. I look forward to them earning five star status sometime soon.

Great Mix of Sounds

I am not quite sure how I stumbled across this album but I am glad I did! I purchased a couple of individual songs and had to buy the entire album which has become a regular in my rotation. I am a fan of bubble bath nights and this is the perfect soundtrack to lay back and relax too. It is ultra girlie!

I would definately not classify the Ditty Bops as Country. The only song with a remotely country sound is 'Ohh La La' which is still stretching the classification. It is probably one of my favorites on the album despite the slightly dark theme...heck that is probably why I like it! The country classification has probably been assigned because there really isn't another category the album will fit into. I love the older 30's sound of 'Wishful Thinking' and 'Sister Kate' both have an oldie but goodie sound that any girl has to love. The upbeat sounds make you want to "shake it like sister Kate." 'Four Left Feet' has a funny polka sound with a twist. A great love song for the dysfunctional crowd.

Despite my love for this album, my favorite song by the Ditty Bops is not on this album. 'Angels with Attitude' is a MUST BUY!
