Vignettes

Vignettes

Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2012, The Lumineers have made considerable waves throughout the folk and pop-crossover scenes with melodic, arena-ready anthems like "Ophelia" and the ubiquitous "Ho Hey." Now frontman and band co-founder Wesley Schultz is reintroducing himself with Vignettes, his debut album as a solo artist. Vignettes comprises 10 newly recorded cover songs, including Schultz's interpretations of classics like "Boots of Spanish Leather" by Bob Dylan, "If It Makes You Happy" by Sheryl Crow, and "My City of Ruins" by Bruce Springsteen. Schultz and producer Simone Felice (The Felice Brothers) strip the songs down to their scaffolding, allowing Schultz's emotive vocals to take center stage. Guest musicians on Vignettes include the Felice Brothers' James Felice, singer-songwriter Diana DeMuth, and UK duo The Webb Sisters.
