EDITORS’ NOTES

If the acclaim and awards that greeted 2016’s triumphant Konnichiwa album were ever in danger of dulling Skepta’s hunger and fire, it doesn’t show on this EP—a surprise release that appeared on Halloween. The Londoner’s production and rhymes are as sharp as ever, whether he’s reflecting on his present and past to percolating synths and swinging strings (“Still”), or reinforcing his bonds with A$AP Mob by pairing up with Rocky and Nast for the seasonally eerie “Ghost Ride.” On “Sit Down,” meanwhile, he even manages to make his own steady-pulsed intensity sit smoothly alongside Lil B’s restless energy.
