Poppy but good

I miss the Cinematics sound, darker and with more of a rock-y edge, but this is still upbeat and fun and catchy, if a little poppy for my taste. Also I'm basing this just off the singles, so I'll update this when the actual album comes out

Good For What It Is!

Gonna put this out here first: I tend to heavily dislike Pop. However, Set It Off were able to grab my attention with their music. I personally prefer the style of Cinematics, however I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of Duality. If you enjoyed Duality, you will definitely enjoy this, but some people who liked Cinematics more than Duality may not. I fall somewhere in between, and even though I don't particularly like Pop, I feel that they are pulling this off quite well. Let's hope the rest of the album is as solid as what's been released so far. :)

I've been a fan of Set It Off for quite some time now. Like many others, I miss the orchestral, dramatic sound from Cinematics that really made SIO stand out from other bands in the same genre. With the release of Duality, they transitioned to a more basic mixture, less strings and more pop inflections. And hey, they pulled it off really well! I have high hopes for Upside Down, but I have a feeling it's not gonna have that dynamic score like Cinematics. I do fear they may become too pop, straying away from their itnrsuments a little too much or copying the likes of other bands. *cough* Fall Out Boy
