The fourth album by the legendary Innocent Ujah Idibia, The Unstoppable (International Edition) represented somewhat of a rebirth for 2Baba (formerly known as 2Face Idibia). “Unstoppable was my first project under my newly formed independent label and an interesting experience,” he tells Apple Music. “It was a mixture of excitement and anxiety, and I just put all those emotions into the making of this album.” As a follow-up to the previous The Unstoppable, the International Edition balanced sonic elements from various genres, including Afropop, soul, reggae, R&B, and rock. Resonating with audiences and critics alike, the LP would go on to clinch two Soundcity Music Video Awards for “Enter the Place,” MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Male and Artist of the Year in 2010, a 2011 Headies Award for Best Pop/R&B Album, and a Best International Act BET Award in 2011.
