Strong and refreshing sounding album from Ty Curtis!

Great refreshing release from an artist who has so much more to offer than just blues and soul. It's clear on this album that Ty Curtis has grown tremendously as an artist, with inspiration coming from contemporary styles of indie and alternative rock. His vocals are focused and full of presence, and his guitar playing is equally capturing. The sound of this record is current and contemporary, without loosing the edge Ty Curtis is known for.

This album also features stellar performances from musicians who are part of the Austin, TX music scene. Check out Feel What I Feel for a killer flugelhorn solo by Ephraim Owens(Sheryl Crow), backed by bassist Glenn Fukunaga(Robert Plant) and John Bush(Paul Simon) on congas.

It's simply just an overall great album that gets better and better with each listen. It's a must in my opinion, to have young artists like Ty Curtis creating new and current music rooted in old blues and rock. It's truly a bold and sincere album!

Gifted Musician

One of the better albums for 2012. Ty sounds like an old soul trapped in a young man's body. There's a lot of people who would give anything for the talent that Curtis possesses. I like to say he's got the hat trick for success: great singer, songwriter and sublime guitarist. I really like the reggae/blues infused "How Was I to Know" and the ballads are killer. He reminds me of a young Jonny Lang only smoother.
