He gets autobiographical on “Out Here Alive,” and “Young King” and “Usain Bolt” are uplifting messages about knowledge of self. His empowering songs are set to a neon blend of electronic, hip-hop, and R&B, but tunes like “Temporary Me” show he can rock it campfire-style with just a guitar and a simple beat.
