EXCELLENT!!!!!!

I had never heard of Ronald Bruner Jr. until I saw that his brother Thundercat (I'm a HUGE fan) shared it. And I must say, this is an INCREDIBLE piece of art! A jazz drummer who can SANG while effortlessly move from jazz (Chick's Web, Open the Gate), to soul/R&B (Sensation, Doesn't Matter), to rock (Geome Deome), to trap (To You/For You) is the sign of a true musician. From the first song (True Story) I knew this guy was something special. I haven't stopped listening to this album since it was released. Highly recommended!

Let's put it this way. I have never taken the time to put a bad rating on iTunes.

Rap a bit and the purists panic...

This is not a domesticated album, but it's disciplined and fully aware of the traditions it works to uphold and extend. Pop, jam-band, soul, prog rock, trap and modern indie sensibilities drive a thoroughly black album away from clichéd sprinklings of blues and funk and into a surprisingly coherent and energizing musical statement. This has become my go-to for getting through overtime on the line. Try it twice and buy.
