Neil Young at his best.

This album shows Neil Young at his best, and his most tortured, due to the fact he lost Crazy Horse guitarist Danny Whitten, who sings lead vocals on "Come On Baby Let's Go Downtown", and roadie Bruce Berry, who is mentioned by name in the first line of the album's title track. From the haunting wails Neil lets out on "Mellow My Mind" to the beautiful steel guitar on "Albuquerque", this is, in my opinion, Neil Young's best studio album, full of pain and sorrow, sadness and suffering, emotions which manifest themselves perfectly on this album.
