Editors’ Notes This Is Spinal Tap cleverly charts the imaginary band’s gag-packed evolution from British Invasion act to heavy metal hellions. “(Listen to The) Flower People" bottles the trippy scents of ’60s psychedelia. “Stonehenge” is prog rock so perceptive in its mockery that it might as well be the real deal. And then there’s “Rock ’n Roll Creation,” which, all jokes aside, is one cool jam. When it comes to rock ’n’ roll parody, nobody does it more brilliantly than the one and only Spinal Tap.
