Time Sketches opens with airy waterfalls of piano that eventually land in a hot spring of aggressive, minimalist synths (see: Philip Glass). Throughout the album, John Kameel Farah offers smart, ethereal sketches at the intersection of acoustic and electronic music. “Quiet City B” combines sonorous ornamentation and dissonance.
