What a waster

Since the Libertines only came out with 2 full CD's and a couple of EP's, there really isn't any need to buy this. They don't have enough material out there to have a Greatest Hits, in my opinion.
Just get Up The Bracket and The Libertines.

After only 2 albums?!

The Libertines had some good songs but I would not say they are worthy of having a greatest hits album. They are not even together as a band anymore and only had 2 albums. Most of these songs on both the albums so you might as well buy those 2 albums and not waste your money on this. The label is just trying to make as much money as they can by releasing this.

Pure Sleaze!!!!

Um yeah... The Libertines were my favorite band, but lets face it. They're gone. They left behind two fantastic albums, but judging from Mr. Barat and Mr. Doherty's recent output, it doesn't look like we're ever going to see such great heights, even if they DO get around to reuniting. It's time to move on. There's plenty of great, exciting music being made now by some really forward thinking, daring artists. Let's not be a part of the system we're all so quick to criticize. I'm guessing that Libertines fans already own all of this material. The "rarities" on this comp. are almost all readily available on the band's EP's and as b-sides already. Keep in mind, the Lib's broke up only three years ago. It's not like their records are hard to find. Thie is really shameless marketing going on here! Let's give the memory of the LIbertines its last shred of dignity. I suggest that instead of downloading this, try out Animal Collective, or Jens Lekman, Spoon, Art Brut, Les Savy Fav, Jose Gonzalez, White Rabbits, Grizzly Bear, Black Lips, Okkervil River, Menomena, M.I.A., or if you are a newcomer to the LIbertines, check out their first album "Up the Bracket" instead. It's amazing!

P.S. not that I want to scold iTunes or anything, but does anyone else thinks that making the bonus track only available with an album purchase is just plain sleazy?
