aretha sounds great as always

we are seeing poor reviews from people who obviously do not know what they are talking about. This album, while not as produced (i.e.: the glitz and glamour of many of today's modern artists) is a perfect example of what real soul music is and should be. Whether it's Christmas, Gospel, or RnB classics, this organic and soulful sound is greatly appreciated in today's over-saturated world of autotune and Kanye West.

I really love Aretha Franklin that's why I'm so disappointed. Is it me or has she lost her voice over the last few years. It's torture listening to the once soulful singer crank out these cackling whiners of songs. She just can't do it no more.

Aretha Franklin is one of the finest vocalists in the world. When I saw that Aretha had a holiday Cd I was really excited with what it could be! It could be great, soulful and different from all the run of the mill holiday CD's, but it's NOT. It's a big yule log. This recording sounds like someone's drunk aunt trying to sing karaoke at a christmas party. Not good. In a sad way it is kind of funny. I love you Aretha, but this is not your best work.
