Liars' most "on concept"

This album displayed Liars' ability to keep their music cutting edge and their fans freaking out for more mind-melding music.

"There's always room on the broom" was one of the best songs that ever happened to my dazed, drug-fueled teenage existence.

"They Don't want the Corn, They Want Your Kids" is also sticking out in my mind. There were so many amazing tracks on this album!

This album prepared Liars' fans to un-prepare & un-learn the lives of fandom they knew before. After listening to this album, it became glaringly apparent that gone were the days of incremental improvements between albums. Liars had the ability to pick up, wipe their moog off, and explore a rabbit hole know one expected, based on their prior release. We were all willing to dive on in with them. As I re-listen, it becomes apparent that Liars filled the void between the post-rock years and the coming electronic wave of the early 21st century.
