Editors’ Notes When Megadeth’s debut dropped in 1985, it reaffirmed former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine’s status as one of thrash metal’s leading lights. This remixed and remastered version updates the sound quality of the original while spotlighting the raw energy and dizzying guitar work of classic rippers like “Rattlehead,” the title track, and “Mechanix,” the galloping Mustaine composition previously reworked as Metallica’s “The Four Horsemen.” The reissue also includes demos, live tracks, and a new version of the band’s cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'.”
