Editors’ Notes Dutch singer Waylon (born Willem Bijkerk) may pull his name from one of country music’s greatest, but the similarities to Waylon Jennings end there—he follows the spirit rather than the letter of the outlaw. With big vocal performances, his fifth album, The World Can Wait, bursts with energy, whether he’s singing about fighting for a splintered relationship (“Back Together”) or turning down late-night romance (“Thanks, But No Thanks”).
