My band's new record

You know how 2 or 3 bands in your life feel like "your" bands. Because you literally listened to them exclusively for much of your time and their influence on your very existence felt tangible. Well that is Zao for me, ever since I heard "Lies of Serpents, a River of Tears." Ok so, at long last the guys have put out a record and I received it in the mail on white vinyl today. It's like the best parts of all their albums, and with less filler material. It's SO GOOD, coming from a legit Zao fanboy who has listened to their entire library many times over. And believe me, I was prepared to be let down by WIV. Not so! My order (full albums w/Dan only) would now be 1-Where blood.. 2a-Well intentioned virus.. 2b-Self titled.. 4-Liberate.. 5-Awake.. 6-Funeral of God.. 7-Parade of Chaos.. 8-The fear.. 9-All else failed (version 2). That was fun. Long live Zao!

Magnum Opus

An absolute assault on the eardrums...not the run of the mill carbon copy trash that's out there... this literally grabs you by the nuts and doesn't let go... This is Zao In there purest form... raw, socially conscious and fierce... melodic and calm at times... but at those times your just waiting for the punch in the face.... 10/10

Brutal and precise

Holy cow, this is a heavy record. Just heard it on NPR First Listen and preordered it. Zao's best record since "Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest"...and I say that as someone who loved "Liberate." Welcome back Daniel, Russ and the whole band - metal needed ya.
