Willing to change rating when whole album is out

I don't understand people already saying this isn't what Cold should sound like. They were always the softest of that nu-metal era, were always the ones that sounded sad and were pretty prone to ballads. I think the only major change, and it really happened during Year of the Spider, was that they stopped having muddy poorly mixed albums. Their self titled debut sounded heavy because it was a crappy recording. That's all, half the abum was acoustic. 13 Ways was a little cleaner, and it just moved on from there. But, for all I know the rest of this may be crap. Then I'll edit my review : )

3 1/2 stars really

A lot more melancholy and softer than previous Cold albums, this is completely different than 13 Ways. Some of the songs, the lyrics get pretty repetitive as well. Overall it’s good, much better than Superfiction, but after such a long hiatus I was really expecting Scooter to come back with something better than this. One of the best songs on the album, Run, isn’t even theirs, it’s a cover. I’ve been a huge Cold fan for what feels like forever now, so I’m just happy Scooter is still making music. Just wishing there was a little more out of this.

Cold is Back

Time changes everything. I was in my early 40's when I found this Band and at age 58 now thier music still appeals to me. Looking forward to hearing the entire release. Love bands that are still slugging it out many years later!
