13 Songs, 48 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Daley has always been an honest, intimate sort, but the soulful Brit steps it up with his second album, a moody R&B confessional that seamlessly weaves together tender slow jams (“The Only One”), lush, old-school ballads (Jill Scott collab “Until the Pain Is Gone”), and homages to ‘90s grooves (“Second To None”). But, crucially, he’s not afraid to bring the party, with the funky, slick bass of “Slow Burn” and the electronic funk of “On Fire” showcasing his lighter side.

Bravo

It's a pity that real talent in music is shunned in favour of illiterate, immoral, dumbed down artists that have no actual musical talent and cannot sing. Especially when there is such a huge talen as Daley out there.
Daley's voice is like mana from heaven. Like fellow soul talent Maxwell Daley has a voice that can emit such emotion that the songs take you on a journey which is what music should be about. Music needs to say something. It needs to convey something. And this album just like his albums before do this superbly.
Oh, and BTW Sympathy is infectious!
