It's been a long time, but The Specials are back, baby and they sound great. I first experienced The Specials on a trip to the U.K. in 1981 and although it ended soon after, they left an indelible impression on me. Well, this compilation shows that they still have it, with even perhaps a bit more soul. Too bad about the crowd singing along, but can you really blame them? C'mon Specials, tour the US... first stop Detroit!

Well at least SOME Specials originals were involved...

Unlike so much recent Specials releases, it sounds like vocalist Terry Hall is involved, so we are now in the semblance of Specials. But no keyboardist/mastermind/tyrant (to some) Jerry Dammers. Still, I'll take it.

it is still special

this album sounds great, true to the original songs, very little changes in arrangement, The Specials have not lost a beat and sound as good as back in the day. The recording is much better quality than older live tracks. A must for Specials fans, would like to hear Ghost Town!
