I swear these guys continued to blow me away on this 3rd album. After a three year absence from the studio, this junior effort seemed to pick up where "Untitled" left off. Almost like they actually had all the songs that could have easily gone on either of the last two projects. But when you are a consistantly great songwriter, this type of genius is commonplace. These three albums remind me of "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul" plus one! (Read my other reviews on the previous albums to get background opinions that lead up to this one) Fav Tracks: End Of the Beginning and My Own Way has more of a Lennon approach chord progression and feel (sorry to always compare these guys to the Beatles but hey, they shouldn't have been this stinkin' good and I could have used examples of the Partridge family) April 29 is about a guy getting out of the loony bin hoping someone will pick him up and take them home. Great concept! "There Goes Lucy"- seems to be about a homeless woman. See, these guys picked some really cool subject matter and made it cool to listen to. Call Me and Coming Home are a great pair of songs. the Other Side OF Life really remind me of the legendary guitarist/songwriter Phil Keaggy. That's not all. The guitar work throughout this duos albums compare heavily to Phil's work. Hey boys, give Phil a call and do something. Overall a great project. It's not "Untitled", but that was the album I discovered, so I'm somewhat partial to that second album. Nonetheless, a great 90's pop album by the the best writing duo of that decade.
