EDITORS’ NOTES

Recorded under a veil of absolute secrecy by Bowie and longtime creative partner Tony Visconti, 2013's The Next Day is a thrilling, musically varied comeback. The unabashed rock of the title track sets a no-nonsense tone furthered by the moody funk of "Dirty Boys" and the rattling, high-octane "If You Can See Me." The sweeping, cinematic "Where Are We Now?" and the introspective atmosphere of "Heat" add a hard-earned poignancy, while the careening "I'd Rather Be High" shows he'd lost none of his experimental attitude.

Amazed!

This album is a combination of all things Bowie, yet he continues to be modern, and he is always unique and unsurpassed. Their are tones from Low, notes from his debatable 80's period, drug references from his struggles, and the happy new Bowie that has shed "Major Tom" and finally found the axe to break the ice; he has come down right now. I will listen to this over and over, and I will continue to find new things, references to old things that I did not catch before, and it makes me contemplate every possible human emotion. Thanks again Mr. Bowie!

I feel so young listening to this!

Can't believe Bowie has released such great creativity, something about this music takes me way back in time and makes me remember what it's like to feel young again !

As good as his early work

Any one who gave this one star is an ridiculous... Bands like Black Veil Brides deserve one star... Not the great Thin White Duke...
