I knew Brendan when he lived in LA and he had given me a demo CD that I played non-stop. The song Beautiful Girl I told him should be a movie soundtrack! I downloaded the new album when it released and I am just as impressed. Everyone in the band adds their touch to create the perfect balance in music. The lyrics speak to the soul and the sounds are mesmerizing! Keep making music guys as it is your true calling! Amy

Great Album

I just had the pleasure of seeing this band at the Bitter End, NYC and hopefully you know some of the legends that played there. Since, I had been anticipating this album release
What an incredible album. Their sound is refined and mature like well seasoned musicians should be no doubt, but their uniqueness comes from the different voices this band has and what seems to be a life that has been in reflective state from a long journey home.
From the soulful, country, heartbroken voice of Wendy (which is nothing but full of emotions) to the east coast, rock and roll voice of Brendan's (his articulating precision work on the guitar is what legends can do), together the Wendy Hackett Band makes their own sound and tells stories of life to really beautifully written, composed and crafted songs. A great pick up, an album you can listen to from start to finish and then listen to a bunch more times.
Expect big things (think Grammy's!) from them. Looking forward to hearing more from this band.
