Editors’ Notes This underground band’s feel-good party rock might be the most fun you’ll have this year. “Kafe Mania” explodes with in-your-face sonics while embracing hair metal’s lusty, unselfconscious glory. “Plastic Thrill” is another mutant glitter rock smash—like something from Iggy’s Raw Power rolled up in cotton candy. It’s no surprise that Deerhoof’s party album is also their most danceable. “Debut” is a brilliant amalgam of burping funk, garage rock drums, and giddy noise. If you like your cacophony served with a dose of cheerful delirium and childlike wonder, it doesn’t get better than “Little Hollywood.”
