10 Songs, 39 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

This album is Mastered for iTunes. The Great Escape Artist represents the awakening of a sleeping giant. Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins are joined by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, bassist Chris Chaney and producer Rich Costey (Muse, Radiohead) to record Jane’s Addiction’s first studio album since 2003. Costey and Sitek summon the muscular force of Navarro and Perkins on “Words Right Out of My Mouth”, “Underground” and “Twisted Tales”. On “Irresistible Force” and “Curiosity Kills”, the band artfully construct a symphony of accelerating, dive-bombing guitar and trance-inducing bass and drums. Guided by the keening howl of its frontman—part showman, part shaman Perry Farrell—the group that once found beauty in rock ’n’ roll’s dark side breaks from the past to carve a new, exciting future with this album.

Excellent Album.....

This album is amazing....... Strays and this album are top JA for me..... Just some wonderful stuff happening here after every listening experience....

Strays & TGEA are two albums that are a must have in any music collection. Right there with P4P's two albums as well...

Mature.

Excellent.

KrunchDown ,

A step back from Strays.

This will appeal more to the Cure-leaning goth fan-base. Darker and more lush than Strays, but does not rock with the same chronotropic swagger as it’s immediate predecessor.
