Not as expected

I am one of Thomas Newman's biggest supporters but I must be honest- as a stand alone listen, there a very few highlights. Thematically it is weak and it lacks a personality that often comes from a T. Newman score. This one is forgettable unfortunately.

Abstract, ambient and rhytmic best descibe the score. Thomas Newman stays true to his sound however and that alone is worth the purchase if you don't mind spending $12.99. That's what we loyal and mildly obsessed listeners do right?

I'll be curious what you think. After loving The Help so much, this one takes the back burner this year in Thomas Newman's releases for me.
