This is what Christmas needs to sound like.

I celebrate Christmas like a madman, but for many years of my life, I celebrated Christmas without any good music. My life revolves around music, and I need some type of soundtrack that involves every individual event in my life. I couldn't find a good one until I found this album. I've never heard of Sixpence None The Richer before, and when my friend introduced me to a couple Christmas songs by this band, I was instantly in love. I think this is the only Christmas album that combines true alternative/indie rock with the traditional Christmas songs that lack color. I would listen to this album any day, even if it's not Christmas, and I think that's how great Christmas music is supposed to be: so great that you'd listen to it in October.

Every year I come back hoping for more Christmas music from this talented pair

I have a large collection of Christmas albums, vinyl, cds and downloads, all genres, traditional, country, reggae, international, jazz, blues, rock, classical, pop, probably about 300. For years I had two favorites The Manhattan Transfer:The Christmas Album and The Carpenters: Christmas Portrait. (If you like classical, A Carnegie Hall Christmas Concert with Kathleen Battle, Frederika von Stade, Wynton Marsalis Andre Previn and many more is splendid.)Two years ago I found this and I have listened to it more than any other since then. Beautiful singing, wonderful playing, fine arrangements-it always lifts my spirits. Current favorite is their version of Joni Mitchell's River. Please, Six Pence, more!
