EDITORS’ NOTES

Terrible Human Beings is an invigorating reminder of what rock ’n’ roll is all about: It’s packed with scrappy, fun, punk-tinged garage and alternative tunes that just don’t give a damn. Powered by a ‘60s guitar jangle, “They Put a Body in the Bayou” is a stomping showcase for how Mario Cuomo can howl out a melody. The richly sludgy “Creatures” feels like a drunken stumble through a swamp. And “Black Francis” is a spot-on facsimile of what Pixies did best. '60s pop. '70s hard rock. '80s indie. The Orwells wear their influences on their sleeves while doing them all proud.

The BEST 2017 album so far

These guys both "get it" and have "got it". Love this album. What a force they are. Really love them ....and I'm 61 years old and remember all the bands here that are referenced and paid homage to. Good for the Orwells for keeping true rock n roll alive.

I'll wait until the full album is released before I post my review. So far I love what I hear. Already bought tickets for their next live show.
