Vocals to make your ears bleed

While the band is spot on, Adam's awful vocals ruin the entire disc. Off key, off time, and sometimes struggling to recall the words. Too bad because this album could have been an instant classic.

Fun and nostalgic, but no Orensanz

This is a decent effort overall, the instrumentation is beautiful as always, however the vocals could have used a little more work in the editing process. Both Lazzara and Nolan sound like they're struggling to hit the notes and they tend to just skip some lines altogether. Michelle Nolan's guest vocals in "Bike Scene" are a little flat too, it wouldn't have been hard to lock them into key with some minor pitch correction. But I dont think this was professionally edited, i think it was an indie release so that can be overlooked in the long haul. The bottom line is the vocalists need to quit smoking cigarettes on the regular. It does nothing for the voice. Other than that though, this is a fun listen. It's nice that Lazzara gets to play guitar for a change, cause he's a decent acoustic rhythm guitarist. Highlights are "Great Romances" and "Your Own Disaster".

Adam is struggling. John don't sound very on point either. All in all not bad but the vocals really ruin a masterpiece that could have been.
