Dubbing is a must !

Jah 9 is a new strong female voice coming out of Jamaica. This album is a furry of Dub and conscious lyrics. A devout Rastafarian stands strong with the title track " New Name " . Gratitude is one of the strongest tracks on the album, because its got that King Tubby feel. as in super dubby ! " Preacher Man " is built on a classic riddem that true collector will recognize. If I was going to compare this women to any one in reggae music, it would be Burning Spear " Avocado " nails this to the floor. Her vocal style is jazz meets dub and it works greatly especially with some of the horn driven riddems. One of the catchiest tunes on this album is " Jungle " the riddem cuts like a Roots Radics tune. " Legitimate " with its haunting bass and long echo's which features Projecto. I really don't think anybody has released a album that can even come close to this in the last 30 years . The production is amazing, thanks to master selector, producer of Rory " Stone Love " Gillian
