11 Songs, 46 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Polished, lushly produced electro-rock makes Integrity Blues a sleek contrast to 2013’s straight-to-tape Damage. After opening the record with the angelic backing vocals and layered guitars of “You with Me,” the band alternates moments of familiarity (“You Are Free” could be a B-Side from Clarity) with moody experimentation. The later is thanks to producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, NIN), whose touch can be heard on adventurous tracks like “Pass the Baby,” which ends with in a blaze of Sabbath-esque guitars.

Bless The Martyre ,

It's who they are.

With only a couple of songs to sample I cannot comment to the full album release. However, the songs I have sampled are flawless in the traditional sound of Jimmy Eat World. They have evolved into a timeless sound that is also exactly reminiscent of their earlier hits from Futures and Chase This Light. For me they are and will continue to be an all time favorite.

They Still Have It

Let me throw my voice in to the fray and tell you this is worth the investment. I've listened to JEW for a long time, and there's always that fear that a band you really like will go stale with time. There is a fine art to allowing your music to evolve and mature as they do yet keeping the core sound that brought fans to you in the first place. They manage it here.
