Tyler Farr is a tough guy, but he's not a hothead. Suffer in Peace is filled with stoic breakup songs and rock-country anthems that pay tribute to blue-collar determination. On "Withdrawals," he howls about an old lover as metal guitars chug in the background, and “C.O.U.N.T.R.Y.” includes gravel-voiced raps about Charlie Daniels and Truck Nutz. "A Guy Walks Into a Bar” even takes an introspective tack, employing cliché to evoke how it feels when your real life starts to resemble one.
