This is like Tom Petty meets INXS. Very, very cool sound these guys have going here.

For me the most unique tracks are Wait It Out & Metrotech; but the whole album stands out—truly. I mean, wow, I did not expect to find something like this.

Ehhhh.

I’m probably the only one to say this but I honestly prefer their last album. Only song I like off this is shell no. 2. Maybe the rest will grow on me though.

What happened to this band? 80's rehash now

Their last record was so great but this one actually makes me angry. The great songwriting is still there but the production on this album is horrible. They ran it through the 80s blender - gated drums, bad horns, loads of chorus, odd backing vocals, thin guitars. I get it they're trying to be Sparks or whatnot now but all these bad choices just reek of trying too hard to be 80s. I get the yacht rock trend and all, but they took the great energy of some of these songs and neutered them to fit the trends of today. I hope they fix it for the next album.
