Dark, beautiful

Once again, Marissa Nadler releases an amazing album. To be fair, I've loved every one, and listen to them very often. Great for dedicated listening, and also as ambient music.
This one though, is newly lush. Lush and dark and beautiful like the forest or the ocean.

Soothing melancholy, not what you're normally given

I listen to this album on repeat- the songs are not complicated, but they are complex and strange enough that you never really get them stuck in your head. Her voice and the guitar work is so gentle and uncanny that it gets under your skin pretty fast. If you like gentle music, buy this now.

Beautiful and strange

I look for this kind of album constantly, but I rarely find it. Melancholy but soothing.
