EDITORS’ NOTES

A new Suicidal Tendencies record is always cause for celebration—even when it comes with an asterisk. STill Cyco Punk After All These Years is actually a re-recording of a solo album, Lost My Brain! (Once Again), that frontman Mike Muir made in 1996. It’s a veritable time capsule, with Cyco Miko barking over a melee of ’80s metal/punk riffs and aggro thrash licks, while Dave Lombardo pounds the drums like they owe him money. “Ain’t Gonna Get Me” and “All Kinda Crazy” capture the anarchic joy of a bygone era, with Muir gleefully spitting lines like, “You say violence; we say fun!”
