14 Songs, 58 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Released in 2001, the Rock Star soundtrack celebrates hair-metal wildness with loads of hot licks and arena-sized hooks. The flick’s fictional band, Steel Dragon, delivers several gems, including “Livin’ the Life,” a high-octane ode to decadence wrapped in ’80s glamour, and “Blood Pollution,” in which backup singers chant, “Give me blood!” atop gnashing riffs. The set also contains a clutch of classics from Bon Jovi, The Nuge, and Kiss, whose salacious howler “Lick It Up” nails the movie’s rowdy sense of fun.

Great soundtrack, But...

This soundtrack is great, but I wish I could buy the songs individualy. I already own everything but the Steel Dragon tracks.

Not buying

I refuse to buy the album since I have all the other songs. We all die young is the only one I want. Come on iTunes your losing a lot of money not having it for sale by itself.
