Oingo Boingo, 2.0

Lemon Demon is back, and they're spookier that ever! With songs about human/arcade-machine hybrids, talking mongooses (mongeese?), and capitalism, Spirit Phone is all about the monsters of the world, and the things that scare us all to the core.

Almost every song on the album could be used as a theme song to a wacky eighties' sci-fi comedy, and that's a fantastic thing. It's like Oingo Boingo recorded a really out there album and never released it, and one day some 21st century found it in the trash and decided to remake it. Love songs about interdimensional beings! A phone that allows you to talk to the dead - a SPIRIT PHONE, if you will! I say without exaggeration that this might be Album of the Year.

My new favorite album

I agree with everyone's Oingo Boingo comparisons. Neil Cicierega is the new Danny Elfman. Every track of this album is brilliant. If you've only heard Lemon Demon you should also check out Neil's "mouth" albums.

Man Neil you won't stop getting better, will you? In my opinion this is Lemon Demon's best yet! I recommend this to anyone.
