This isn't the complete new cast recording...

Barnes & Noble are selling this with additional material, exclusive to B&H: Bilis' Bali H'ai reprise; Cable hears Bali H'ai; Company Street underscore; Emile's Wash That Man... tease; plus Wonderful Guy and Some Enchanted Evening orchestra without voices. It's a terrific recording of the excellent revival at Lincoln Center. But if you're a fan of the show and want even more music, get to Barnes & Noble for these extras.

New Broadway Production:South Pacific

I'm old enough to have seen the original with Mary Martin and Ezio Pinza. Saw the new production and this one is better, more real, with fine acting as well as singing. Rather than try to mimic the original, the neew production bring South Pacific up to date, with real love stories, and sex. And the culture, racial clashes are even more relevant than they were in 1949. See it and listen to it.

Spectacular.

How awesome to have two new Kelli O'Hara recordings in the space of one month! The orchestrations are exquisite and the voices are so moving, especially Matthew Morrison on "Younger Than Springtime," Paulo Szot on "This Nearly Was Mine," and Kelli O'Hara on "A Wonderful Guy." Even for those of us who have very nice recordings of "South Pacific" already, this disc is especially valuable for its depth of feeling and its rich sound.
