a must for those new to country music

everyone loves a cover because they already know the song but they get to hear it from someone knew. this album of reworked country ditties is winner for sure! some of best covers on this album are jypsi's reworking of ronnie milsap's "stranger in my house", trace adkin's version of ray steven's "sunday morning". the wreckers also bring something fun and fresh to deana carter's "strawberry wine". the whole collection is a good walk through the past for new/younger country music fans.

Murder On Music Row

Imagine the opportunity to harmonize with George Jones! I just hope Dierks never stopped saying I am not worthy, I am not worthy, I am not worthy." Actually these two work great together but if George Jones was trying to find the fingerprints of the man who killed country music, all he had to do was look on the microphone of the man singing next to him. Sorry Dierks but songs like Drunk On a Plane, 5-1-5-0, Tip It On Back (need I go on) are precisely the types of songs you are crusading against in Murder On Music Row. Seems to me that Songs Of The Year artist Dierks Bentley is Hypocrite Of The Year.

Don't Miss this CD!

Trace Adkins's version of Sunday Morning Comin' Down is worth the cost of the entire CD (although the entire CD is excellent). Adkins's rendition of this song is right up there with the ultimate version by the great Johnny Cash.
