I Saw The Light

If you have any doubts cast them aside and buy this album. You won't be disappointed.
It represents an important turning point in American music. More than simply a collaboration of great artists, it is one of the earliest blends of classic bluegrass with pop/folk which produced truly relevant new music. Certainly more relevant than Springsteen's "Seeger Sessions" - as great as that was - in that it is not just old songs done by a contemporary pop star(s).
Very natural studio technique, not over processed (recorded in 1971 - no digital).
If you like Linda Ronstadt this is a must have. A bit of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" feel with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; with just a tad more pop influence due to the variety of contributing artists.
