You could argue that this tenth album—a mix of covers and Rat Packing originals that’s a sequel to 2001’s Swing When You’re Winning—is the essence of what makes Robbie Williams such an irrepressibly appealing artist. Ultimately, introspective showmanship ("Go Gentle"), self-aware cheek (“No One Likes a Fat Pop Star”), and celebrity duets (with everyone from Lily Allen to Rufus Wainwright) crown him king of the swingers. Resistance really is futile.
