Ministry's Best?

Ministry made some great LPs (namely The Land of Rape & Honey and The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, the two albums from which most of these tracks are taken) but this is my favorite album of theirs. It's short (~38 minutes) and... well, not sweet at all, actually. It's a pulverizing aural document of the band's awesome live shows of the time. Everything is a little louder, a little rawer and a little more drawn out. Not a duffer in sight. Well worth the $9.99.

Dont forget the VHS

This was great back in the day, and the songs still resonate today. When it was released compact discs where just in fashion and you could still by audio cassettes in stores. This disc had a companion VHS tape. Same title only the tape had a few more songs. The best part was the beginning of the video which had the introductory speech by Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys. Now a political activist for the Green Party. Annoy your parents, partner, roomate or whom ever buy the cd and the tape spend the time to sync them together and crank it up loud!

You should have been there

I was at the show the night before it was recorded, at the Riviera.
To this day, the best show I've ever seen! I had the VHS many years ago but
it pales in comparison to having been there. The Skatenigs, KMFDM, Lard and Ministry!
