Gives us a taste of what may be to come from Deb in 2011. I can't wait for more new music!
Charmed? Eh...slightly amused more like it.
Deb lost her classic pop voice a few years ago. Don't believe me? Listen to her re-recordings of her 80's hits here in iTunes. Here on "Snake Charmer" her voice is low, overly processed and the music loud. So the pitchy, sharp voice of Deb today is not as audible. However, the doesn't mean the song is a waste of time. It's not. Definitely for die-hard Deb fans. The beat is enjoyable and this further cements her loyal gay following. Again- not a waste of time but saddens me that the Debbie I grew up with is seemingly lost forever. Check out "Serpentine" by Tiffany. The other song & leading lady from "Mega Python vs Gatoroid". Her voice remains strong, powerful and intact. I will always be a fan of Deb...just the the Deb prior to 2005.
Arabian Music Meets Dance Pop
"Snake Charmer" has a great hook and beat. I can't get it out of my head after listening to it only a few times. I love how the dance pop is integrated with an arabian music sound. It was definately worth adding to my music collection.
