Delivering Once Again

I said in a review for "Loves Crushing Diamond" that it was an album of Heavenly Soundscapes, and Warming Instrumentation. I also said it was going to be an album I would listen to for a lifetime. This is all true for Skip a Sinking Stone. Mututal Benefit has returned with another record that is incredibly lush, gorgeous, and serene. I can't say I like it better than Loves Crushing Diamond, as youll regretfully find less of Mutual Benefits very unique use of electronics to compliment the beautiful tracks found on Loves Crushing Diamond. You wont find moments like "A Cowboys Prayer" or "Auburn Epitaphs" that used strange effects and sounds to add to the experience. That said, along with 1 or 2 songs that come off as not fully developed or corny (I'm looking at you Not For Nothing), these are about the only things to complain about here, and neither items warrant me docking a star. This is still a masterful record and a great sophmore release for Mutual Benefit, and I can't wait to hear what he creates next.
