This divinely funky album from Jamaican reggae trio Black Uhuru always gets us with its one-two punch. First, the group's laidback island sound draws us in with hypnotic drums and dissonant piano, like on the mesmerizing "No Loafing (Sit and Wonder)." Then, on tracks like the uplifting "World Is Africa,” lead singer and primary songwriter Michael Rose proceeds to blow us away with his lyrics about the power of the homeland.
