=cowboy, did you forget to take your happy pills before listening to this cd?

FOW outdid themselves on their first try. Awesome music. Oh, and, =cowboy, if the nice men in the white labcoats told you to take your happy medication to make the bad voices in your head go away, please listen to the nice men in the white labcoats.

Pop gem

The thing about Fountains of Wayne is that when you listen to this album you feel like you are in on a musical secret. How can music be this good and not be everywhere? The answer is that it is everywhere... except radio. So, feel free to enjoy at your own pace. On their debut album FOW puts together a collection of songs that will be in your head for days with just one listen. The difference between the best and worst song on this album is absolutely paper thin. Radiation Vibe is a feel good song that is everything good about pop music and a perfect way to start. Leave the Biker is also a very good song but they all are so it's hard to really say what the best songs are, so I will just tell you my personal favorites- Radiation Vibe, Sink to the Bottom, Survival Car, Barbara H., Leave the Biker and Please Don't Rock Me Tonight. The other songs aren't far behind, which is why, of course, I give this album five stars.

Fountains of Wayne = Gold

Fountains of Wayne...maybe the best alternative-pop band? I think so. The music is crisp and easy to sing along with. Each song is spectacular in it's own way. Highly recommended.
